Development Team: Ludwig Grobmeyer, Alex von der Leyen, Matthias Rudolph, Sebastian Bors and Laura Vyhnal

Mentor: Johannes Moosmeier, Agile Coaching, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe

One-liner: We aim to make sustainable grocery shopping a no brainer by providing a state-of-the-art shopping list app which includes all relevant sustainability information for profound purchasing decisions

Problem statement: The effects of climate change, in the form of stronger storms, water shortages, and forest fires become more dramatic every year. Although, according to a study by the Federal Environment Agency of Germany, 79% of Germans see sustainability as important, only 46% base their actual purchasing decisions on environmental factors. For the food sector, which accounts for 31% of our personal CO2 emissions, the reasoning behind this gap became clear to us based on conducted interviews, surveys, and desk research.

Draft solution: We are addressing the outlined need by providing a state-of-the-art shopping list app, which includes all relevant sustainability information of groceries. The aim of our product is to give customers the opportunity to close the formerly derived gap between awareness and action by making sustainable grocery shopping a no brainer by providing the when most decisions are made, during purchase planning.
